Sugar Land police warn of burglars sneaking through golf courses, levees to target homes

SUGAR LAND, Texas — Authorities in Sugar Land are investigating a series of home burglaries where the suspects reportedly gained access to homes by using golf courses and levee areas.

From July 4 to October 11, at least eight burglaries have been reported across four neighborhoods, including Sweetwater (four), Williams Glen (two), Alcorn Bend (one), and Enclave at Waters of Avalon (one).

According to the Sugar Land Police Department, the burglars in each case worked in small groups of two to three people, fully covered in masks and gloves…
