Kali Hocking, a member of the Class of 2025, moved from Vienna, Austria, to Sugar Land, Texas. She graduated from Vienna Christian School and later enrolled in the Respiratory Therapy program at HCC Coleman College. She chose the program for its board exam pass rates and its location in the Texas Medical Center. Hocking now works as a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Respiratory Therapist at Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital.
Hocking selected Respiratory Therapy to combine patient care with critical thinking. Her experiences with respiratory therapists influenced her decision. She found the program demanding and believes it helped her develop problem-solving skills.
