Japanese-born chain Pepper Lunch to launch 20 locations across Texas

Pepper Lunch, a Japanese-born fast-casual restaurant chain, is launching in the Lone Star State.

Founded in 1994 as a unique “culinary concept that married the freshness of high-quality ingredients with the dramatic flair of sizzling steaks,” the eatery is now set to spread its wings across 20 locations in Texas over the next five years, including within San Antonio.

According to a Monday news release, restaurant operators just struck a new deal with two new multi-unit franchise agreements. One of those franchisee groups is Sizzling Hospitality, the release said, which is a Summit Point Capital Management company…
