CCISD Among Best Places to Teach in Texas, Earns A Rating

Clear Creek ISD has once again been ranked among the top in the state of Texas for teaching and learning in the newly-released 2026 Best Schools rankings from Niche. The District received an overall “A” rating and ranked 7th of the Best Places to Teach in Texas category.

Niche, a leading data analytics platform focused on K-12 schools and colleges, also has CCISD ranked second for Best Places to Teach in Houston. Paired with the overall A rating, CCISD received an A+ in the College Prep and Food categories along with several other A ratings on a variety of criteria, such as Academics, Administration and Diversity. Two CCISD high schools, Clear Horizons Early College High School and Clear Lake High School, were in the top 20 Best Public Schools in Houston.

According to Niche, the rankings combine user input – ratings from current students, alumni and parents – with quantitative data from sources like the U.S. Department of Education to evaluate teachers, resources, facilities, extracurricular activities and more. This comprehensive approach assesses a wide array of factors, providing a well-rounded perspective on educational institutions across the country. This year’s rankings include updated data for over 11,000 school districts nationwide, including more than 93,000 public schools and 30,000 private schools.
