In just its first year of varsity competition, Freeman High School in Katy ISD is already making history—thanks in large part to the determination and drive of sophomore Andrew Hohmann.
With laser focus and a quiet confidence, Hohmann became the first male athlete from the newly opened campus to qualify for the UIL Class 4A State Cross Country Championship. His historic run capped off a season of grit and growth, marking a milestone not only for him personally, but for the entire Freeman Golden Eagles athletic program.
“My personal goal was to make it to state this year, and I did that,” said Hohmann. “It felt awesome, but there’s also a little bit of pressure. You want to make sure you perform your best.”…
