Fort Bend County Veterans Day Ceremony to Honor Local Heroes and Celebrate U.S. Marine Corps’ 250th Birthday

The community is invited to come together in gratitude and remembrance as Fort Bend County hosts its annual Veterans Day Ceremony on Monday, November 10, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. The event will be held at Patton Hall within the Gus George Law Enforcement Academy, located at 1521 Eugene Heimann Circle in Richmond.

This year’s ceremony will not only recognize the extraordinary service and sacrifice of local veterans and their families, but also include a special tribute to the 250th birthday of the United States Marine Corps. The milestone offers an opportunity to reflect on the enduring legacy of the Marines, who have upheld the motto “Semper Fidelis” — Always Faithful — through centuries of dedicated service.

Fort Bend County Judge KP George will lead the event alongside guest speaker Greg Babst, Director of Homeland Security and Emergency Management, and Mark Ned, Director of Veteran Services. The event will also be attended by local veterans, military families, and community leaders…
