Amanda Edwards is a native Houstonian, former at-large City Council member, attorney, and a founder of a community nonprofit that empowers various groups from seniors to women.
Edwards graduated from Eisenhower High School in Aldine ISD, Emory University and Harvard Law School.
Edwards has led Houston’s efforts to reduce the disparities in accessing capital faced by women and minorities who own small businesses in Houston.
