HOUSTON — A Texas-based luxury bus service is experiencing a significant surge in customers as travelers seek alternatives to air travel amid ongoing flight disruptions, according to the company’s CEO.
Vonlane, which operates routes between Houston, Dallas and other Texas cities, has seen business increase 31% over the previous week. The company attributes the growth directly to government shutdown impacts and flight reductions that have created widespread uncertainty at airports.
The service offers a premium travel experience with meals, snacks and alcoholic beverages, charging approximately $247 for a round trip to Dallas.
