HOUSTON (CW39) — One of Mayor John Whitmire’s early campaign promises isn’t shaping up as planned.
Whitmire had vowed to bring 200 state troopers to help patrol Houston’s highways, but nearly two years into his term, data shows there are actually fewer troopers in Harris County now than there were in 2020.
