Houston-area man sentenced for online solicitation

WICHITA FALLS (KFDX/KJTL) — A man from the Houston area was sentenced to prison on Friday, Nov. 14, 2025, after pleading guilty to allegations that he sent sexually explicit videos to someone he thought was a teenage girl, but was actually an undercover DPS agent.

Matthew Tinder Sanchez, of Katy, was booked into the Wichita County Jail in May 2025 on three counts of online solicitation of a minor.

On Friday, Nov. 14, 2025, Sanchez pleaded guilty to all three charges pending against him in the 78th District Court. Presiding Judge Meredith Kennedy sentenced Sanchez to 6 years in prison on each of the three counts, setting the sentences to run concurrently.

According to arrest affidavits, an undercover agent with the Texas DPS conducted an investigation targeting people who communicate with minor children in a sexually explicit manner with the purpose of meeting to engage in sexual conduct…
