An 18-year-old man, Aiden Prause of Cypress, has been charged in the hit-and-run death of 77-year-old cyclist Fidel Estrada in Galveston. The crash occurred last Sunday when Estrada was hit by a white or silver pickup truck, possibly a Ford with a ladder in the bed. Estrada was taken to the hospital and later died. Witnesses said the driver did not stop and left the scene. Prause turned himself in on Friday and faces a second-degree felony charge for leaving the scene of a fatal collision.
