A weak cold front will push into the Houston area late Wednesday, but it won’t bring a drastic drop in temperatures or rainfall.
The benign front slides into Southeast Texas with hardly a trace, but a second cold front this weekend could bring showers and a more significant drop in temperatures.
Wednesday: Dry, sunny and warmer
The midweek period starts on a warmer note compared to the 30s that kicked off Tuesday.
Morning temperatures were generally in the upper 40s to near 50 degrees Wednesday thanks to the return of southeasterly winds. It’s the crucial wind direction that’s also allowed for patchy morning fog to develop and could linger through 9 or 10 a.m.
