Near-record warmth

Monday starts off cloudy, with lingering patchy fog possible near the coast during the morning hours. Skies will gradually improve turning partly cloudy. Light southerly winds will continue to pull warm, humid air into Southeast Texas. Temperatures will once again run well above normal, climbing into the upper 70s to low 80s, putting some locations near daily record highs. For Houston, the record is 84 degrees set in 2021.
