With the arrival of 2026, the Fort Bend Star is delighted to introduce the county’s first New Year babies – tiny bundles of joy who arrived in the morning hours of January 1.
The first baby of 2026 born at St. Luke’s Health–Sugar Land Hospital is Louis Barcak. Parents Jakob and Robyn Barcak welcomed their little one at 8:45 a.m. on January 1. The newborn weighed 6lbs.,15.8 oz and measured 19.7 inches in length, the hospital said.
At Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital the first 2026 baby is Rowen Allen Reed. Parents Mackenzie Harper and John Reed III welcomed their son at 3.14 a.m…
