Welcome to Glasstire’s 25th anniversary! Way back in 2001, when the internet was nascent and many people didn’t know how to get online, Rainey Knudson founded our publication as a way to connect Texas’ disparate and far-flung art scenes with one another.
Over the years, Glasstire has flexed, changed, and morphed to meet the moment: we’ve gone from message boards (remember those?) and zippy, one-line reporting to publishing 700+ feature and news articles a year covering Texas’ art and artists.
