New details emerge on Houston suburb’s long-term plan for historic site

SUGAR LAND, Texas — Residents will soon get a clearer look at how the Imperial Historic District could be redeveloped — and what comes next in the long-term planning process.

The City of Sugar Land announced that the Imperial Historic District Strategic Vision Report will be presented at a Sugar Land City Council meeting on Jan. 20.

According to the city, the report is a high-level summary that outlines the site’s history, feedback gathered during November visioning workshops, and goals the city hopes to see reflected in future redevelopment.
