FORT BEND COUNTY, Texas (CW39) — The Fort Bend County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office is taking steps to bring the Project Lifesaver program to local communities, providing a new safety tool for families and first responders.
Project Lifesaver offers a FREE wearable device, provided through the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office, designed to help reunite families with loved ones who may wander. The program primarily supports non-verbal children with autism and seniors living with Alzheimer’s disease.
The devices can be detected by first responders from up to 2 miles away on the ground and up to 8 miles away with aerial support, enabling faster and safer recoveries. Officials say the program is “a proactive step toward safer communities.”
