AG Pam Bondi gives Purple Heart to deputy U.S. Marshals for role in shooting of fugitive in downtown Houston

HOUSTON (CW39) — Two deputy U.S. Marshals and his K-9 partner were honored with a Purple Heart by the Justice Department after their work in apprehending a fugitive in downtown Houston last year.

On Friday, U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi presented a U.S. Marshals Service Purple Heart to deputies Frank Newsom, Andy Deacon and TK9 Rocky for their efforts to take down a fugitive that fatally shot a Brazoria County deputy on Jan. 15, 2025.
