SUGAR LAND, Texas (CW39) — Drivers can expect major lane closures on southbound US-59 over the next two weekends as part of the Brazos River Bridge project, according to the City of Sugar Land.
TxDOT has scheduled two weekend closures impacting the main lanes between University Boulevard and Riverbrook Drive.
The first closure begins Friday, Feb. 13 at 9 p.m. and continues through Monday, Feb. 16 at 5 a.m. The second closure is scheduled from 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 20 through 5 a.m. Monday, Feb. 23.
During both weekends, three outside lanes of southbound US-59 will be closed. The two inside lanes will remain open, and the feeder road will temporarily open to help reduce congestion…
