Scotty’s Bar & Grill slipped onto the Katy scene in January along the Katy Freeway, setting itself up as a scratch-kitchen neighborhood hangout that also stays awake for late-night music and events. Owners are already loading the calendar with weekend brunch, weekly games and a rotating live-music lineup to pull in a regular crowd, as reported by Community Impact.
Menu and neighborhood aim
Owner Dina Muller describes the vision as a true “neighborhood hangout” built around food made from scratch. The menu leans into wings, tacos, burgers, sliders, steaks and seafood, including grilled catfish and shrimp. On weekends, Scotty’s shifts into brunch mode with plates such as steak and eggs, chicken and waffles and several omelet options, according to Community Impact.
Live music, bingo and big screens
Inside, the room is set up for sports and plenty of noise, with roughly 30 big-screen TVs and themed music nights on the schedule. Local event listings point to country, classic rock and 1980s cover shows, along with a recurring Thursday night bingo slot, signaling an early push into live entertainment and watch-party programming, according to HappeningNext.
