HOUSTON — A generous stranger in the Katy area surprised a Girl Scout and many others with his kindness when he bought up all the remaining cookies she was selling that night, and asked her to pass out the boxes to people eating in a nearby restaurant.
Girl Scout officials say 13-year-old Karoline Hines was selling cookies in front of a Katy restaurant on Pin Oak Road on Mardi Gras day when Jeremy Fuller saw all of her badges, and bought the 67 boxes, worth about $400.
Karoline’s mother says they are especially grateful because her daughter, who she says is overcoming speech challenges, was able to go into the room full of people, and confidently give each of them a box of cookies…
