West Houston gridlock could be cracking as major tollway expansion launches

The Westpark Tollway is about to get bigger—and for west Houston drivers, that expansion can’t come fast enough.

The first two-mile segment of the tollway’s long-awaited extension will open in fast-growing Fulshear around noon on Saturday, delivering immediate relief to one of Fort Bend County’s most frustrating traffic choke points.
