Texas home to high number of cities with ‘accidental landlords’

Homeowners struggling to sell their homes are becoming “accidental landlords” at a rate that is reaching a three-year high and on track to surpass the previous record.

While Texan homeowners don’t lead the list, new research from Zillow found that cities in the Lone Star State account for three out of the top five metros with the highest share of homeowners who’ve been unsuccessful selling their property and become unintentional landlords.
