RICHMOND, Texas (CW39) – Several family members were killed in a crash near Richmond yesterday morning.
The crash happened along U.S. 90 between Harlem Road and Pitts Road, according to the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators say an SUV carrying five people was hit head-on by a truck after the truck lost control, crossed the median, and collided with the vehicle. The truck then rolled over and caught fire.
The truck’s driver — a 20-year-old man — was taken to a hospital. Officials say alcohol is suspected as a possible factor in the crash.
Three people inside the SUV died at the scene: a 19-year-old man, a 22-year-old woman, and a 44-year-old woman…
