All the Way Up: WoodCreek Junior High Named a ‘Texas School to Watch’

KATY, TX [March 18, 2026] – WoodCreek Junior High School (WCJH) has been recognized as a Texas School to Watch, placing the campus among approximately 70 middle schools statewide and within the top four to five percent of middle schools nationally for excellence in teaching, leadership and student achievement.

The Texas School to Watch designation is awarded through a program supported by the Texas Association of Secondary School Principals and the National Forum to Accelerate Middle-Grades Reform. Schools are selected based on nationally endorsed criteria that emphasize academic excellence, effective leadership, strong instructional practices and measurable gains in student achievement over time.

The elite designation highlights middle schools that demonstrate strong academic performance, collaborative staff culture, developmental responsiveness and a commitment to continuous improvement.
