Katy Police Department K9 Sky will receive a bullet- and stab-resistant vest donated by Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. The vest, sponsored by Paula and Jacobi Richard of St. Augustine, FL, will be embroidered with “In honor of CSPD K9 Roam” and is expected to arrive within ten weeks. The nonprofit, based in East Taunton, MA, has provided over 6,397 vests valued at $6.9 million to K9s nationwide since 2009.
