SAN ANTONIO — Educators across Texas are getting a well-deserved round of applause — and a big financial boost.
H-E-B announced the winners of its 2026 Excellence in Education Awards, handing out a total of $480,000 in cash and grants to standout teachers, counselors, principals and schools across the state.
Among the honorees is Kevin Korpi of New Braunfels High School, who received the Lifetime Achievement Award, recognizing more than 20 years in the classroom. Winners in that category received $25,000 for themselves and another $25,000 for their schools…
