HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (CW39) – Deputies with Constable Mark Herman’s Office are investigating after a suspected burglar was found dies after being found shot after a home break-in in the Klein/Spring area.
Authorities say it happened just before 5:47 a.m. Tuesday on Spring Creek Oaks Court at Spring Creek Oaks Drive, just west of T.C. Jester in northwest Harris County.

Investigators said the suspect in a blue hoodie and ski mask got in through the home’s back door before being confronted by the homeowner, who fired at least one gunshot at the suspect inside the home.
Where was the suspect found?
Deputies arrived and conducted a search of the area then found the suspect in a bayou area behind the house. Authorities said the suspected burglar has died and the homeowner has been detained.
The investigation continues but authorities still advise residents to stay alert and secure their homes. Also, report any suspicious activity immediately.
