ORLANDO, Fla. – Bumper-to-bumper traffic and concerns about unsafe driving are fueling frustration for Central Florida commuters, according to MetroPlan Orlando’s 2026 Regional Transportation Survey.
More than 2,500 people in Orange, Osceola and Seminole counties responded, with congestion ranking as the top complaint. “The traffic on the Lake Mary exit is just always atrocious,” said Kristen Johnson, a driver who said routine delays and crashes force her to leave increasingly earlier to make it to her destination on time.
