OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — In Osceola County, 38 people must be relocated after multiple assisted living homes were shut down on Wednesday, following the discovery that the facilities were illegal and unlicensed, according to law enforcement.
The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office arrested Ronald Pack, 60, and Marie Tarah Carenan, 56, and they face charges of elder neglect, elder abuse, elder exploitation, welfare fraud, aggravated elder abuse and scheme to defraud.
Pack and Carenan are accused of running several unlicensed assisted living facilities under the names Cherish Independent Living Care and Cherish Home Care, with mailing addresses in Kissimmee and Miramar, the sheriff’s office said…
