Publix is set to open new stores in July, further expanding its footprint in its home state of Florida as the grocery chain continues steady growth across the Southeast.
The openings, scheduled between July 2 and July 16, include three locations in Florida, according to Publix’s “New Store Openings” page. The additions build on the company’s network of more than 1,400 stores across eight states.
The grocer operates locations in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. Publix was founded in 1930 in Winter Haven, Florida, by George W. Jenkins and now employs more than 260,000 people, according to the company…
