Wife identifies Mexican man hit by semi while fleeing ICE in St. Augustine

ORLANDO, Fla. — The Mexican man who the Florida Highway Patrol said was struck and killed by a semi tractor-trailer while running from immigration authorities on Tuesday has been identified.

With help from the Orlando-based organization Colectivo Árbol, his family identified him as 28-year-old Juan Jairo Coronilla Duran, from Guanajuato, México.

His wife, Yésica Alamilla López, said Coronilla Duran was a father of two who arrived in the United States three weeks ago to work. She said he entered with a tourist visa…
