LAKELAND, Fla. — A 44-year-old Haines City man with outstanding warrants was arrested Sunday night after giving a deputy a fake name and running from police, according to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.
A deputy stopped Antwan Javaris Davis on Maine Avenue in Lakeland around 8:18 p.m. on Aug. 9 for a pedestrian violation. Davis told the deputy he did not have an ID on him and gave a fake name and birth date. A check of state records returned no matching results in the Florida database.
