Two young children were shot and killed in Central Florida this summer, adding to a troubling pattern of youth gun violence that 9 Investigates has tracked for seven years.
9 Investigates, along with KFF Health News and The Trace, analyzed Florida hospital discharge data from 2018 through 2024. The records break down gunshot injuries by age, race, gender and ZIP code.
