Orlando Man Wanted In Alabama Arrested By Polk County Deputies Following Jaywalking Stop

DAVENPORT, Fla. — A pedestrian stop in Polk County led to the arrest of an Orlando man wanted on out-of-state charges in Alabama on Wednesday evening.

A deputy with the Polk County Sheriff’s Office stopped 25-year-old L’Cari Loyd around 6:22 p.m. near the intersection of U.S. Highway 27 and Sand Mine Road in Davenport after observing him commit a jaywalking infraction.

During the encounter, the deputy conducted a records check and discovered that Loyd had an outstanding warrant from Dale County, Alabama. The warrant listed charges for fraudulent use of a credit or debit card and possession of stolen property…
