33-year-old Michelle Parker of Orlando, Florida, reportedly disappeared on November 17, 2011. While no one was charged in the incident, her ex-fiancé has now been arrested and charged with second-degree murder.
Everything started in November 2011, when Parker dropped off her 3-year-old twins at her fiancé’s home in Orlando. Her fiancé was identified as Dale Smith Jr. According to Parker’s sister, she was supposed to go to work at a bar after dropping off the twins, but she never arrived. Because of this, the sister reported Parker missing that night.
The authorities started investigating Parker’s case, finding her SUV abandoned the day after the report was made. Her cellphone was also eventually recovered by divers from a lake in December 2011. However, her remains were never recovered, and the case was ultimately shelved.
Fifteen years after the incident, the police said that a renewed investigation and advances in digital forensics helped develop additional evidence.
