Poinciana, FL – Motorists are advised to seek alternative routes following a traffic incident at the intersection of Marigold Ave and KOA St in Poinciana. Osceola County Fire Rescue and Sheriff’s Office have responded to the scene where injuries have been reported.
ISC News & Media reporters, present at the location, have provided an eyewitness account from one of the victims involved in the crash.
The victim, who was in a sedan with his two toddlers, described the harrowing moments leading up to the collision. According to his account, he was in the left lane on Marigold Ave, preparing to turn at a yellow blinking arrow. As he began the turn, an SUV, apparently attempting to beat the light, sped into the intersection, resulting in a severe impact with the sedan.
The victim sustained leg injuries, which he reported were incurred while attempting to protect his young children in the vehicle. The condition of the occupants of the SUV has not been disclosed at this time. One patient has been transported to a local hospital as a TRAUMA Alert.
