Orlando Feb 06 Weekly Crime Report: 1138 Incidents and 37 Crime Stories
During the last week, Orlando reported a total of 1138 crime cases. The most frequent crime was ‘Suspicious Situation’ with 315 incidents, followed by ‘Other’ crimes at 259. ‘Theft’ was the third most common crime with 164 cases, while ‘Assault’ and ‘Trespass’ constituted 119 and 103 cases respectively. ‘Arrests’ were made in 71 instances and ‘Hit & Run’ cases were reported 50 times. ‘Burglary’, ‘Vandalism’, and ‘Robbery’ were less frequent with 33, 11, and 7 cases respectively. Despite the high overall number of crimes, severe crimes such as ‘Shooting’ and ‘Disturbance’ were relatively rare, with only 3 cases each reported. The data suggests an urgent need for more effective crime prevention strategies in the place, particularly targeting suspicious activities and thefts.
