LIVE: Grady Judd discusses case of mother charged in ‘horrible murder’ of 4-year-old

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd will hold a news conference on the alleged murder of a young child Wednesday.

Judd is expected to discuss the case of a 36-year-old Davenport woman charged with first degree murder, aggravated child abuse and witness tampering in the death of her 4-year-old child.

A news release from the sheriff’s office described the death as “a horrific murder.”

The woman, whose name has not been released, is due in court for her first appearance Wednesday afternoon.
