POLK COUNTY, Fla. – Michael Didiano, 42, of Winter Haven, learned the hard way that cutting off your ankle monitor isn’t the best way to avoid jail time. Didiano had been placed on house arrest with an ankle monitor back in July, but apparently decided he’d had enough of that after a month. He reportedly declared he wasn’t going back to jail, but fate, and the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, had other plans.
