Driver denies stealing, being a trucker after attempting to steal from Love’s

A truck driver was arrested for stealing truck supplies from a Love’s truck stop in Florida earlier this month.

The incident happened on December 5th in Polk County, Florida at a Love’s Travel Stop in Davenport.

According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office , 32-year-old Oscateris Echavarria had stopped at the Love’s and purchased a meal and a shower before attempting to walk out of the store without paying for a 50-foot air hose and some engine oil.

When confronted by a police officer about the theft, Echavarria denied the incident and denied even being a truck driver, but eventually confessed after he was presented with evidence that he had stolen the items.

Police took back the stolen items and returned them to the store before arresting Echavarria and booking him into the Polk County jail on retail theft charges.
