LAKE WALES, Fla. – A crash involving two motorcycles left a 30-year-old Haines City man with serious head injuries on New Year’s Day in Polk County. The crash happened around 1 a.m. in Lake Wales, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release. The 30-year-old man was riding east of Tindel Camp Road and approaching the intersection with Lake Mabel Loop before he lost control of the bike “for unknown reasons.”
