Local officials reported that Osceola County firefighters responded to an intense blaze yesterday at a Kissimmee recycling plant. The fire erupted at the tire recycling facility located at 4925 Industrial Lane. According to WFTV, multiple fire units from neighboring agencies were dispatched to assist Osceola County Fire and Rescue in the firefighting efforts.
In the face of a situation where flammable materials such as tires posed significant risks, the firefighters approached the scene tactically. “As many people know, tires are flammable, so with a structure like this, there’s just going to be a lot of flammable materials in a very tight interior space,” Joshua Holder, public information officer for Osceola County Fire Rescue and EMS, stated, as reported by WESH.
