‘I felt it in my heart’: Windermere High senior’s father remembers son who loved soccer, school and travel

The night he died, Sammy Lahik and his family gathered around the dining table at their Windermere home to break their Ramadan fast with bowls of Moroccan soup and goodies his parents brought back from a recent trip abroad.

Sammy’s older sister was home from college on Saturday night, and his parents had just returned from Morocco, where they were both born.
