A Florida man allegedly killed his wife of more than a decade in a tragic act of domestic violence. Orange County sheriff’s deputies arrested 41-year-old Lamar Bryant in connection with the March 25, 2025, shooting death of his wife, Takeshia Eads, 42. Eads wanted a divorce , and Bryant reportedly didn’t want to sign the documents. So instead, police say he turned a gun on the mother of his three children.
The shooting occurred in the Orla Vista neighborhood just outside of Orlando, per WESH. Deputies arrived at a home in the 5200 block of West Livingston Street around 3:45 p.m. following calls about a potential shooting. Emergency crews took Eads to an area hospital, where she later died of her injuries.
According to court documents obtained by WESH, on the day of the shooting , Bryant allegedly stopped at a liquor store, then consumed alcohol after picking up one of the couple’s daughters from school.
