Double Tragedy in Orlando: Pedestrian and Bicyclist Killed in Separate Incidents on Edgewater Drive

Tragedy struck Edgewater Drive in Orlando early yesterday morning as two separate accidents resulted in the deaths of a pedestrian and a bicyclist. According to WFTV, a vehicle collision with a pedestrian occurred at the junction with All American Boulevard shortly after 7 a.m. The pedestrian, whose identity has not been released, was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center but did not survive the injuries sustained.

Concurrent to the pedestrian incident, a 51-year-old Apopka man riding his bicycle met a similar fate after a collision with an SUV near the same intersection. The Florida Highway Patrol informed ClickOrlando that the eastbound SUV, driven by an Orlando man aged 57, struck the bicyclist in the direct path of the vehicle. Despite being rushed to the same medical center, the bicyclist was pronounced dead, reportedly he was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash…
