WINTER HAVEN, Fla. – A 30-year-old Winter Haven man with an active warrant for burglary, felony petit theft, and resisting without violence was taken into custody by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office on May 7th.
Deputies say Donnie Preston Smith III was wanted in connection with a burglary on May 2nd, where a bicycle was reported stolen.
According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, a detective attempted to speak with Smith during the initial investigation into the May 2nd incident. However, Smith reportedly ignored the detective’s questions, repeatedly yelling, “What did I do?” while running away…
