Haines City Man Arrested After Standoff With U.S. Marshals And Polk County Deputies

POLK COUNTY, Fla. – A Haines City man, 38-year-old Elvis Davila, was arrested Wednesday morning following a tense standoff with U.S. Marshals and deputies from the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.

Davila, who was sought for violating federal probation, was ultimately taken into custody after initially barricading himself in his Greenlefe neighborhood home.

The incident began around 9:50 a.m. when two U.S. Marshals arrived at Davila’s residence to serve an arrest warrant for a violation of his federal probation. Davila’s probation stemmed from a 2018 incident in Missouri, where he was arrested for explosive materials and making threats…
