Walt Disney World faces lawsuit over Florida water slide’s ‘exhilarating speeds’

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Walt Disney World has been targeted in a lawsuit after a man was hurt going down a high-speed water slide at the Blizzard Beach theme park, according to court records filed on Thursday.

The lawsuit claims that the man — identified as Eugene Strickland — had visited the park back in July 2021, opting to try out the Downhill Double Dipper slide.

Per the lawsuit, Strickland weighed around 334 pounds at the time, which exceeded the slide’s weight limit of 300 pounds…
