POLK COUNTY, Fla. – In a scene straight out of a movie, a routine patrol by a Polk County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) detective led to a significant drug bust on Friday. What started with a simple question quickly unraveled into a bizarre encounter involving a suspicious backpack and a man hiding behind a curtain.
According to the PCSO, a detective was patrolling a hotel area near US 27 and I-4 in Davenport, an area that has recently been plagued by drug complaints.
